My very first contact was with a social worker who specifically came to the hospital when my daughter, died of SIDS in October of that year. She helped me navigate the immediate practicalities of dealing with the death of my child and went on to introduce me to the entire program that provided support at no cost. This support consisted of peer groups, individual counseling and volunteer opportunities.
